Tertius – The “Loud” Cousin
I’m Tertius, part adventurer, part storyteller, and full-time lover of the outdoors. I’m the kind of guy who’s always up for a sunrise hike, a spontaneous road trip, or a good laugh over a strong cup of coffee (which, let’s be honest, is basically my life fuel). I’m calm by nature, vibrant by heart, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Southern Africa with others. When I’m not out exploring, you’ll find me spending quality time with my amazing wife, my biggest supporter and partner in life. For me, travel is more than a destination, it’s about the people, the energy, the little moments, and yes, the coffee breaks along the way. Ruben – The “Adventurous” Cousin
Adventure is what drives me. As a co-founder of Travel Cousins, I’m the cousin always chasing the next summit, diving into the outdoors, and making sure everyone’s having a blast. I’m a natural extrovert and entertainer starting hikes with stories and ending with laughs. Whether leading groups through the Western Cape or sharing a sunset, I love helping people experience South Africa’s magic through my eyes. Nature, especially the mountains and coastline, captivates me. When I’m not showing off our beautiful country, you’ll find me running trails, hitting the gym, or spending time with loved ones. Health, happiness, and connection keep me going. At Travel Cousins, we’re more than a tour company, we’re family. Fred – The “Expressive” Cousin
Hey, I’m Fred, the expressive cousin and the one most likely to have a guitar in hand, a snack for the road, and a story ready to go. I’m all about good vibes, real connections, and finding the joy in every moment we share on the road. I absolutely love the open road, long drives, great playlists, unexpected detours, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you’re road-tripping across South Africa. Add a scenic stop and a delicious meal into the mix, and I’m in my happy place. Cooking is another big passion of mine, nothing beats whipping up something tasty after a full day of adventure! Nature, laughter, music, and food that’s my world. Whether we’re exploring a hidden trail, spotting wildlife, or sharing stories around a fire, I’m in my element when I get to help people experience the magic of this country. I’m also the one keeping things running smoothly, from finding the best pit stops to making sure the trip flows just right.
